For many teachers, tailored French and professional French are one and the same. For me, this is deliberately a category of its own: it answers a very specific individual need that isn’t covered by any textbook or existing method — a particular pronunciation difficulty, a very targeted language goal, or a situation unique to your project.

These lessons aren’t prepared in advance from a standard template — I build each session based on what worked, or didn’t, the time before. That takes more preparation on my end, and closer follow-up.

This is less about the classic teacher-student relationship, and more a genuine partnership, focused as closely as possible on your need.

• Upward — if it requires preparation time (research and creation of tailor-made materials), or time in the field (an outing, accompaniment, a shoot…).
• Downward — some requests turn out to be close to a simple guided conversation, and are billed at the Conversation rate, sometimes with a travel surcharge if it takes place away from my home.

For example: the poetry recital (above) was billed at the Conversation rate; the immersion with children, at the Conversation rate plus travel.
